Welcome to the EDEN Registration

UtahID Account Required
Portal requires two factor authentication. If you don't have a utah.gov email, you will need to create a UtahID account before requesting an Eden account.

  • Go to id.utah.gov and click Create an account.
  • An account creation code will be sent to the email that you provide.
  • After submitting that code you will need to give a first name, last name, and username.
  • You will then be asked to choose a password.

Utah law requires a death certificate to be registered before remains can be disposed of or transported out of state. Thanks to EDEN, Utah’s Electronic Death Entry Network, online death registration is available for funeral directors, physicians and the state’s Office of the Medical Examiner, easing the timeline for grieving families to obtain death certificates.

EDEN was developed by programmers in the Utah Department of Health under the direction of a steering committee consisting of state and local health personnel, physicians and funeral directors.
